Founderswork™ in this phase

Founderswork™

One method at every stage

Founderswork™ is Rapid Iterative Learning, and it’s the constant in all three phases. You learn a concept, personalize it to your business, prove it in the real world, refine it based on what you find, then repeat. Each pass goes deeper as your company grows.

Rapid Iterative Learning. Deeper with every pass. Five steps in a loop: after Repeat, the next pass starts again at Learn, one level deeper.
  1. Learn: Pick up one concept that matters at your phase.
  2. Personalize: Rewrite it for your business, your customer and your numbers.
  3. Prove: Test it in the real world, with real people.
  4. Refine: Keep what worked. Change what didn’t.
  5. Repeat: Run it again, one level deeper.

One concept, deeper learning

One concept, deeper learning. Example: Meridian Robotics’ ideal customer profile. Meridian Robotics started with a one-word ideal customer profile: warehouses. After talking with prospective customers, it narrowed to 3PL warehouses with 50 to 200 pickers. More conversations named the buyer: operations directors at 3PL warehouses who are losing contracts over late shipments. Each version came from getting out, talking to buyers and proving it. v1 ‘Warehouses.’ (hunch), v2 ‘3PL warehouses with 50 to 200 pickers.’ (tested), v3 ‘Operations directors at 3PL warehouses who are losing contracts over late shipments.’ (proved).

Example:Meridian Robotics’ ideal customer profile

v1Pass 1

Hunch

“Warehouses.”

Where Meridian started.

v2Pass 2

Tested

“3PL warehouses with 50 to 200 pickers.”

After 9 interviews with prospective customers.

v3Pass 3

Proved

“Operations directors at 3PL warehouses who are losing contracts over late shipments.”

After 3 signed letters of intent.

Three passes shown here. Many founders run more.

Founder voices

What founders say

What founders, students and seasoned entrepreneurs say about working with us.

I benefited 10× more from this one session than my whole last year with another mentor.

Nick, established entrepreneur

Going through this process made me a better planner, and I know exactly what I need to do to get my business off the ground.

Sarah, student entrepreneur

This helped us think critically about the future of our business. The best strategic planning session we have had.

Lorne, seasoned entrepreneur

They took someone with no business experience, just an idea and determination, and gave me the tools I needed to turn it into a successful business.

Mitch, emerging entrepreneur

Still deciding? Book 15 minutes with Colin to talk through where you are and which phase fits.

Start with where your company is today. Phase 1 · Discover & Validate is where you frame the opportunity and test the problem. Phase 2 · Build & Launch is where you create, pilot and launch. Phase 3 · Grow & Transform is where you scale capability and outcomes. Not sure? Book 15 minutes with Colin and he’ll help you place it.

All of it, from Vision to Exit. Phase 1 · Discover & Validate covers Vision, Product and Go-to-Market. Phase 2 · Build & Launch covers Standardization and Optimization. Phase 3 · Grow & Transform covers Growth and Exit.

Phase 2 · Build & Launch focuses on MVP build, go-to-market design, pilot delivery and first revenue. Phase 3 · Grow & Transform focuses on growth planning, capital readiness and Venture Studio acceleration for selected ventures. Ask us how ventures are selected (opens in a new tab). Both use the same Founderswork™ method as Phase 1. Both are sold out right now. Join the waitlist to hear first when the next cohort opens.

Not for Phase 1. If you’re ready to do the work, you’re in. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are sold out. Join the waitlist and we’ll contact you when seats open.

Plan on 4–6 hours a week: one 90-minute live session on Wednesdays (Thursdays are optional), plus async Founderswork™ and your own work toward your outcomes.

Both. Sessions are live so the cohort dynamic works, and every session is recorded for reference or catching up.

Watch the recording. Peer accountability and Founderswork™ happen asynchronously, so one missed session won’t set you back.

The method is. In every phase you learn a concept, personalize it to your business, prove it in the real world, refine it based on what you find, then repeat. What you work on changes with your phase.

We work alongside accelerators, whose seats are limited. Phase 1 helps you get sharper, build evidence and either re-apply with a stronger case or keep building independently. Session 11 covers how to get into accelerators, and whether you should.

Yes. Phase 1 is a membership, so you can start whenever you’re ready and return to future cohorts as often as you like while your membership is active.

For as long as your membership is active. Pause or cancel anytime, and you keep your progress in the system.

No. The membership covers the live sessions, workshops, mentor and cohort. Founderswork™ runs on the Startup Science (opens in a new tab) platform, where a Commons account is free. Discovery and Launch are separate plans if you want Nova, Marketplace perks or capital sources.

Phase 1 · Discover & Validate is $99.95 a month, or $999.95 a year (save $199). Pause or cancel anytime. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are sold out. The waitlist hears about dates and price first.
